dark-videogamer said: hey, me again, sorry to bother... fleshing out some background characters and just wondering do Borgonha's have certain jobs that they can't do or... are their jobs similar to the ones on earth? (so sorry if you've already described it on the species section... I can't seem to find anything tho...)
No bother at all, ask anytime. There isn’t really that much that’s been posted about the Borgonha besides basic physiology and stuff about their planet like imports/exports climate kind of stuff.
Their society is kind of similar to earth, like they have modern (for space) technology, big corporations etc.. Working in any kind of mining is common, and the kind of dream job to be having if you want to be making huge bucks is running a mining export business. Their planet is just SUPER rich in precious materials/minerals. Also commonly, the Borga will work in their military force. It’s not necessarily required, they’re just more likely to work there. Their bodies are better equipped for combat is all. Borga often work heavy physical jobs, be it like, military or body building or what have you. But again, both Borga and Borgon kind of work whatever job they want so it’s not necessarily a thing like “oh you’re Borga better work in the army”
Borgonha though, as much as it’s open to them, don’t really often move away from their home planet, Vinhen. Vinhen is like, REALLY hot and humid, and Borgonha aren’t quite as cold blooded as strictly a snake or lizard, but they’re very cold blooded, they don’t deal with cold temperatures as well. So, Space School students that are Borgonha often wear self heated undershirts and pants. They’re like leggings, tight fitting material that is made to be inconspicuously worn UNDER more standard clothing, but it’s to just keep them warm because SPACE IS VERY COLD. Hence, it’s a trend for them to want to move back to, or stay on their home planet because most planets just aren’t warm enough for their liking.
Again it’s like idk, plenty of them move to different planets, they’re just the goobers in like heavy parkas when it’s only 70 degrees outside. I guess the point is they can’t really work jobs that make them cold. THEY NEED THE WARM.
Looks like I spoke too soon, extra update for this month is back on! C:
THANK YOU ALL!
